Work Diversity
In today’s workplace, most companies reflect the diverse environment of their employees. Companies that have a large population of employees will most likely come from all different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Every employee also has unique skills and talents that need to be valued. Coworkers must merge skills and manage diversity professionally in the workplace. There are some individuals who still feel companies do not fully respect all their ethnic backgrounds and feel uncomfortable to the point of not even giving the opportunity to join the corporation. In order to show potential workers about workplace diversity, some companies need to reach all their potential employees and practice how they can acknowledge the difference.
PPA Final Analysis
Throughout the semester, we were asked to think about a nonverbal part of communication that was interesting to us to write a Popular Press Analysis on. We were asked to find a credible Popular Press article along with two scholarly articles to work off of from this paper. I choose to write about nonverbal gestures in different cultures. As you may know, gestures are used different all around the world and in many cases gestures that you think are okay to use are in fact the complete opposite across the world. This can cause confusion to a lot of people but when done correctly, gestures can be a positive way of communicating when there is a language barrier.
